IGBO LANGUAGE TEACHER VACANCY

A respected secondary school in Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos State, is seeking to hire a passionate and competent Igbo Language Teacher to join its vibrant academic team. This role is ideal for someone committed to preserving and passing on Nigeria’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage.

Core Responsibilities:

• Teach Igbo Language, culture, and literature according to the Nigerian curriculum.
• Engage students in speaking, reading, and writing in Igbo fluently.
• Prepare students for local and national examinations (JSCE, WAEC, NECO).
• Organize cultural activities and projects that promote Igbo identity and pride.

Requirements:

• NCE, B.A./B.Ed. in Igbo Language, Linguistics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Igbo Language.
• Deep knowledge of Igbo grammar, phonetics, and cultural expressions.
• Excellent communication skills and classroom control.
• Passionate about language development and indigenous education.

Remuneration:
₦150,000 and above monthly (based on experience and qualifications)
