CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate should:

• Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Christian Religious Studies, Theology, or a related discipline
• Demonstrate a passion for teaching Religious Studies and guiding students in values education
• Possess a teachable spirit with the willingness to undergo continuous professional development
• Exhibit strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Be familiar with (or open to learning) the Nigerian and British curricula
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have basic proficiency in the use of digital tools for teaching and learning
• Be committed to the holistic development of each learner

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Religious Studies that align with school curriculum and learning goals
• Teach students about ethical values, moral reasoning, and religious worldviews from a Christian perspective
• Encourage critical thinking and reflective learning among students
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments where applicable
• Participate in school-wide programs, meetings, and professional development sessions
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to promote a positive school culture

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (AN ADVANTAGE)

• Teaching qualification such as PGDE, B.Ed., or equivalent
• TRCN certification
• Previous classroom teaching experience in a school setting

Starting from ₦150,000 monthly (Negotiable based on experience and professional certifications)
